My Faith Works Ministries ~How it came to be.~
This ministry was birthed during a time when I found myself alone with the Lord for the first time in my life. I had been a part of a church organization for almost 30 years. I learned so much about church and how to follow instructions and be obedient to man and to God. In that place, I became a pastor and built two churches for them, one in Japan and one in Louisiana. I realized that building churches was the thing I was called to do. I loved hearing the voice of God say, “It’s Time.” I heard that voice so clearly, and that meant he wanted a specific work done through me. I had bible studies that grew, and I learned whatever he called me to do was done with ease, and it was always successful. By the time I left the church, I had much history under my belt to build a church and to also help others build. I love doing the work of ministry.
In July 2017, my time came to an end, and I found myself out of my organization. I only knew it was my time to leave because God had something for me to do outside of that particular church, and I knew I would never be able to do what I do now had I stayed. Outside the church and without a home, I turned to the Lord for help and to keep me. I visited many churches and even joined one, but my heart was always waiting on the Lord for instructions to hear him say, “It’s Time” once again. I never heard it! But I knew in my spirit that there was something else for me to do. Many other things were taking place in my life at that time as well, and I realized God was cleaning me up from much residue and reteaching me things that I needed to learn. I experienced much brokenness and loneliness. People would probably be surprised to hear that come from me because I love to fellowship and have company over, but that is what I had done my entire life, even before I went to the church at 12 years old. I never stopped spending time with God and learning as much as I could about who he is.
Three years later, in 2020, during the horrible Covid-19 epidemic, I heard the Lord say, “It’s Time.” I almost fainted, and I cried because he was with me the whole time, but I didn’t know because this was a new place. The urgency in my spirit was tremendous, and I was so elated that he wanted something from me once again. He told me in prayer to look back over the past three years and study them. From the time I had my exodus to the time he spoke to me about starting again. I realized the one thing I had to do was make sure I had faith in God no matter where I was in life and what I was or was not doing. It was only between my God and me. I sat with the Lord in prayer, and he showed me that I kept my faith in him through my fears, turmoil, hard times, loneliness, ups and downs, financial hardships, marriage problems, children issues, church problems, and even hearing the enemy tell me I wasn’t strong enough to make it. I kept my faith in my God! It was the sweetest thing for me to know that God saw me and encouraged me. I learned that My Faith Works. It wasn’t because I was a part of a big church organization and had many positions throughout my time there. It wasn’t because I was friendly or even maybe a little popular. I wasn’t the best singer, preacher, teacher, pastor, jurisdiction director, district superintendent, missionary, or even saint, but one thing is true, and that is, I had true faith in my God no matter what! I never wavered in who God was in my life through my persecutions, lies told, false rebukes, evil prophesies, being preached on, ostracized, and told to my face how much people in the church hated me. I never hated them back; I just stayed out of their way.
The Bible says in Hebrews 11:6, But without faith, it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. I learned to please him by keeping my faith in him and never wavering. The greatest thing I knew was that MY FAITH WORKS without anyone else being connected to me—just me and my God alone.
My Faith Works is a ministry that is designed to encourage everyone, no matter who you are, that the measure of faith you have is enough for you to complete whatever assignment you are given to thrive in the kingdom of God.
What is this Measure of Faith? If you are like me, when you read scripture, you see words and have to take your time understanding their true meaning, especially when the writer is not clear immediately. The scripture God gave me for this ministry is Romans 12:3.
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. Roman 12:3
This scripture is not speaking of saving faith here. Throughout scripture, we read that salvation is by grace through faith. Because saving faith is central to the gospel, we automatically assume every biblical mention of faith means “saving faith.” In Romans 12:3, however, saving faith is not what Paul is speaking of. He applies the concept of quantity (measure) to this particular use of “faith.” If there were different measures of saving faith, then there would necessarily be different degrees of salvation. But scripture is clear: there is one flock (John 10:16), and “there is neither Jew nor Greek…slave nor free…male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28). Put simply, one is either born again, or one is not. No believer can be more or less born again than any other believer and, likewise, cannot be more or less saved than any other believer. So, saving faith cannot be what Paul has in mind in this verse.
Paul is speaking of being fully equipped to work in the kingdom.
So, what does he mean by talking about a “measure of faith” assigned by God? Two things: 1. The unique gift is given to us to build up the body of Christ. 2. The amount of faith required to use their gift effectively.
As one commentary writer explains:
“‘Faith’ [in the context of this passage] is not saving faith, but rather faithful stewardship, the kind, and quantity required to use one’s own particular gift. Every believer receives the exact gift and resources he needs to fulfill his role in the body of Christ.”
This “faith” can be thought of as a resource provided by God. As we each use our gifts to carry out our unique roles, God gives us everything we need in order to use those gifts effectively. As Paul says in verse six, we all have gifts “that differ according to the grace given to us,” Each gift requires a different “measure of faith” that God supplies us with. As such, this measure of faith enables us to use sober judgment to assess how we can use our gifts as unique members of the body of Christ.
God has given all Christians varying measures of faith. This is the faith with which we receive and use our varying gifts. It is the ordinary daily faith by which we live and minister.
My assignment is to build up the body of Christ in their faith and proclaim the gift God gave you is important and needed to cause the body of Christ to function and flow flawlessly. Everyone is necessary in order for us all to function well. Continue to believe God and trust him with your life because your faith works.
Monthly Zoom Gatherings
In 2020 when the Covid19 epidemic hit our world, people were dying left and right. It became a horrible scene. Watching the news daily and hearing the number of deaths across our nation was implausible. A year later, in April of 2021, the Lord said to launch my ministry; since churches were closed and very few people trusted anyone to be around, I launched My Faith Works Ministries via zoom. It was a great success. I wondered how do I keep this going and what I should do. The death toll struck me, and people are suffering and becoming hopeless, knowing loved ones have passed and they could not attend their funeral or even be with them as they died because of the evil in the land. My dear mother was taken from me on April 1, 2020. I miss her very much. Then the Lord showed me how to bring families together so they could see their loved ones across the miles. He said to teach the people to honor their patriarchs and matriarchs in the family. This will allow entire families to come onto my zoom gathering and see their family members whom they haven’t seen in years. It turned out to be a great successful ministry God gave me. If someone desires to honor their senior members, all they do is gather their family members on my zoom gathering, and 12 minutes before we start, they see each other and love on each other. There is a speaker who will bring words of encouragement to everyone. These events are not just for family members only. This is just one portion of the gathering. We play games, give away prizes and have fun. There is singing and the time to honor that special member. It is free of charge.
If you desire to honor your loved ones please contact me at MFW910@YAHOO.COM and I will let you know what to do. It is so special, and the families have been blessed.
GOD
I believe in the one and only Almighty GOD, Creator and Sustainer of all things, and manifested as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
—2 Corinthians 13:14
Jesus Christ
I believe that Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and having entered history as the Son of God from eternity past. He was and is the Living Word of God, Creator and Sustainer of all things, the self-expressed Image of God's Person. He lived a sinless life upon earth possessing in His Person a complete human nature and the Divine nature, thereby fully qualifying as the sacrificial Lamb of God in atonement for the sins of the world and becoming the perfect Mediator of the New Covenant of Salvation. In accomplishing this work He was crucified and died upon the cross of Calvary, was buried, resurrected bodily on the third day after His death, was seen of men and ascended to the right hand of the Father where He serves as the Advocate and High Priest for the heirs of salvation and from where He will personally return in bodily form to the earth in glorious power and dominion as King of Kings and Supreme Judge, to rule upon the earth.
—John 1:1-3, 1 Timothy 2:6, Hebrews 1:1-3, Acts 1:1-11
Baptism In The Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism in and the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whom, the follower of Jesus Christ is empowered to live for and give testimony to the glory of God through a victorious and holy life resulting in the administration of miraculous gifts and ministries by the Holy Spirit.
—Acts 2:1-4, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11
Salvation
I believe that fellowship with God is possible only through salvation from sin by the work of regeneration in the operation of the blood of Jesus Christ and that by God's grace, alone, through faith in Christ may man receive ultimate redemption. Romans 3:23-25
The Bible
I believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be the only infallible, inerrant Word of God; the complete revelation of God's will for the eternal salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21
Man
Man was created in the image of God with the destiny to rule creation under the authority of and in fellowship with God. He rebelled and was contaminated with a sinful nature becoming lost under Satan's dominion without ability to re-establish communion with God except by means of Divine intervention through the work of atonement and restoration in Jesus Christ.
—Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:12
Healing & Deliverance
I believe that Divine healing, Divine heath and deliverance from evil spirits and bondage is provided for us by God in the work of the Atonement and obtained by faith in the power of the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
